Prefabricated walk-in coldrooms are built to the dimensions specified by the customer. The length and width are based on an external module system with dimensions in multiples of 150 mm. The locations of doors and partition walls can be freely selected. Partition walls do not affect theroom’s dimensions.
Detailed drawings of the cold and freezer rooms are tailor-made for the customer’s order. The drawings are sent to the customer for approval before manufacture. Detailed design work requires specific information such as the following: - a floor plan indicating the dimensions of coldrooms and the location of doors, shelves, etc. if applicable - room height, pillars, air conditioning pipes, and any other structural limitations - required temperatures - the location of the engine room - equipment specifications, if any
The thicknesses of insulation available for walk-in cold and freezer rooms are 75 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm. The external dimensions (length and width) of the room remain the same regardless of insulation thickness.
The elements are made of CFC- and HCFC-free polyurethane. The element consists of polyurethane and a plastic-coated steel sheet. The main raw materials of polyurethane are polyol, isocyanate and a blowing agent. The blowing agent used is pentane, a hydrocarbon that is non-detrimental to the environment.
The operating temperature range of the elements as a wall structure is -60 to +60 °C.
